Law and order She’s going strong in Season 22, after returning earlier this year for a rebound. The hit drama brought back former star Elisabeth Rohm (best known for playing ADA Serena Southerlyn during the series’ original run) to work behind the camera and direct an intense episode with… Strong focus on Adelya Halevi’s ADA Maroun. After her years as an actress in Law and order franchise and her recent direct return, Romm opened around SVUMariska Hargitay as a “strength” and how she herself wants to return.
Elisabeth Romm is back Law and order to direct as part of NBCU releases female striker With some experience directing TV movies before moving on to episodic network TV. The Nov. 10 episode marked her first return to the franchise since her four-season run as Serena Southerlyn in 2005. When I spoke with CinemaBlend about the directing experience, I asked if she’d be interested in directing as well. definitely! I’ve known these guys for a long time. We all started at the same time. I know Mariska has fought hard for female directors to get to the front, and she’s also a director. Mariska Hargitay has become a face Law and order Imtiaz, starring in SVU For over 500 episodes and over two decades. She also directed seven episodes of Law & Order: SVUso it’s safe to say that the collaboration between her and Elisabeth Rohm will bring together two women with plenty of franchise experience both in front of and behind the camera.

Since the reboot was announced, people have asked, [saying] They will love it. I won’t say no. I’d do anything Rick Eid and Dick Wolf told me because what I mostly stick to is Dick Wolf and Dick Wolf. [Entertainment] Camp, NBC and the Law & Order franchise. I love the shows and I love what Mariska Hargitay did with SVU and Chris Meloni [with Organized Crime]. And I love this new Law & Order, so I’d really like to come back as a director.
While Romm hasn’t ruled out reprising her role as one of the show’s former associate attorneys if creator Dick Wolf or showrunner Rick Eid asks, the takeaway is how she “likes” to return in the future. And she spoke in detail about her chances of returning as an actress in exchange for returning as a director:
I’m really excited to be in the NBC family and begin to expand as a director within the studio system, into Peacock and all that. I’d like to come back as a director. I would definitely be open to returning as Serena, but no plans are in the works right now. Right now, I think it’s very likely that I’ll come back as a director, which would really be a dream come true, but I’m open to anything.
Considering that Law and order Not even in the middle of Season 22 and suffice it to say that it’s safe to say that it will be renewed for Season 23. There are plenty of episodes ahead that Elisabeth Rohm will likely direct after her first tryst with “Only” on November 10. Lonely.”
Since this experience was so positive for her, I asked her if there was any item she was particularly proud of after getting behind the camera. Law and order. She had two choices, starting with how she managed to work with Odelya Halevi. She said:
Having walked so many miles in ADA shoes it was especially satisfying, emotional and really exciting to be able to shoot scenes with Odelya [Halevi], and watching her shave and steal all the scenes she was in. I was thrilled to be a small part of that by supporting her, and she and I are such an amazing team. I’m sure she played it for many years, and it was really personal. I was really excited to be a part of her journey.
“Only the Lonely” was a tough episode for Samantha Marron, but Odilia Halevy shone as an actress in the spotlight. It was an episode that required the services of an intimate coordinator, and Elizabeth Roone focused on that Why was that an essential part of the process. The director also named his favorite part of the experience that didn’t involve Halevy, but instead an iconic cast from the series’ original series: History made by Sam Waterston. Romm said:
Wissam [Waterston], naturally. After he was so proud of me and called me, and I kept in touch with him all these years. He’s been amazing the whole time. When I did American Hustle, he’d root for me, and then when I started directing, he’d cheer me on. He knows how important it is for me to make this step, and he’s been cheering me on the whole way. It was really hard to describe, but really very personal.
Interestingly enough, Odelya Halević was too Full of praise for Waterston as a colleague earlier this year. Elisabeth Romm Law and order The icon worked together regularly while on board to play ADA Southerlyn, and it’s clear that his support on her comeback meant a lot to her. This episode was Romm’s first network television episode as a director, and a big step for her on the directing stage of her career.
